1. The Vault
Happy Halloween you ghouls! I’m going to be honest, since I’m still jumpstarting my art engine after a busy hiatus, I don’t have any new art to share. However, now that convention season is over for me this year, I’m listing my remaining convention inventory in my secret store that I have dubbed The Vault!
Before making these pieces available to the public, I want to give you all an exclusive opportunity to grab some limited merch or snag one of my GUNK Signature Collection original artworks. I will make the vault public next week so you’ll all have a head start. Here is what I have listed as of today. Enjoy!
GUNK Mini Print Pack - 20
GUNK Sticker Pack - 20
This is by far my top seller at every con this year.
That Distant Fire Hardcover Bundle - 6
which includes a signed Hardcover copy of That Distant Fire, a riso print, a signed bookplate, and a TDF postcard pack. These hardcovers are super duper rare since we’re unlikely to ever reprint them again and these are my last six.
GUNK After Dark: Volume 3
If you missed out on GUNK Vol. 3 during the Kickstarter, it’s now available online! along with a book bundle deal for all three Gunk volumes if you are a completist.
GUNK Signature Collection Original Artworks
I’m always deeply humbled and incredibly grateful whenever I sell an original artwork, which I was fortunate enough to do several times at the last few conventions. If you are interested in any of the items above enter The Vault using the button below. Also, this kinda new so if there are any issues ordering please reach out an let me know.
2. Process Videos
Below are some process video of the latest GUNK Signature Collection artworks that I have added to The Vault. Enjoy!
3. Show and Tell
I feel like I need a shower after all that self-promotion! maybe this would be a good time to take a moment to highlight some other artists books I’ve recently enjoyed and ones I’m excited to read soon.
Recently Read:
After visiting the Charles Schulz Peanuts Museum in Santa Rosa for my 40th birthday, I’ve had a steady stream of Peanuts books on my nightstand. Peanuts The art of Charles M Shultz is the most comprehensive collection of the 50-year-long strip, and it’s absolutely beautiful as all Chip Kidd books are. Also I am loving these original Peanuts books from Holt Rinehart and Winston which you can easily find secondhand online.
I’m also finally diving into Hellboy, only 20 years late! The library edition Volume 3 was gifted to me for my birthday from a dear friend and it is fantastic!
Manuele Fior has become one of my favorite graphic novelists as of late. His latest book, Hypericum, is stunning—and the whole thing is painted in gouache (I think).
Soon to Read:
I’m looking forward to checking out Brandon Graham’s diary comic Surviving on Mars. Also, I get most of my comic recommendations from his Instagram and newsletter.
Ultramega by James Harren, one of the most exciting comics in recent years, is finally back with issue 5 after a short break.
I have been getting into horror manga, especially the cute kind. I am about 2 seconds away from ordering this perfect edition of the classic The Cat-Eyed Boy.
Lastly, I can’t wait to dive into Chris Ware’s ACME Datebook Volume 3, his latest sketchbook.
That’s all! Thank you all for reading and I hope you have a Happy Halloween!
Until Next time!

Love your work. Don't feel too bad about self-promotion, we all gotta do it. Todd MacFarlane said something to the effect of you gotta be your own biggest advocate. Anyway, I enjoyed the process videos and I enjoyed the Gunk sketchbook download from an earlier post. Very cool stuff.
