SDCC Preview and some Editorial Art
San Diego Comic Con Preview
Howdy folks, summer is back again and that means so is SDCC. The last couple Comic Cons have been the highlight of my year, so if you can’t tell I am getting a little excited. The event starts tomorrow, July 22nd until the 27th. I’ll be at the same booth as last year DD-17, so stop by for a hi and a high-five. This year I have a handful of new things to debut so let’s take a sneak peek!

Well, kinda new. This badge ribbon is the same design as my previous one but in a new Orange/Red color. I give these out for free to all my newsletter subscribers, even if you sign up on the spot. Come get one!

Houstonian Editorial Art
I haven’t done much editorial art lately but when the art director that gave me my big break comes knocking, I answer. Todd Urban used to work at Indianapolis Monthly where I had a monthly illustration column for years, but he has since moved on to Houstonian Magazine. Here are a couple of pieces I did recently for their yearly Summer Reads article.
Also, Todd makes these really cool geometric screen prints on his instagram @brutal_utopia Check em out. Thanks Todd for continuing to think of me for these awesome projects! Let’s do it again soon.
